Drama

Opportunities for All
With a relatively small school such as Adcote, everybody that wants to take part in the school production is able to be involved, either on stage or behind the scenes. Recently Adcote celebrated its centenary with an extravaganza featuring highlights from popular musicals of stage and screen. Girls from both the seniors and the juniors were involved, acting, singing and dancing, as well as providing back stage support. Other recent senior productions include an evening of Victorian Melodramas, 'Johnny and the Dead' and 'The Importance of Being Ernest'.

GCSE and A-level work
GCSE drama is a popular option, and the girls have the opportunity to participate in a large number of theatre trips and workshops. Theatre Studies is taught at A-level, and as part of this the girls will put on their own performances.
Juniors
The Junior department will put on a major production every year, usually at Christmas. There is often, but not always, a Christmas theme, and all of the girls will be involved.
