Welcome to Adcote Juniors
Visit our Junior School and you will immediately be aware of its lively, happy atmosphere. Surrounded by beautiful grounds with a purpose-built play area, the classrooms are large and light and include a well resourced library and fully equipped computer suite.
Vast experience, warmth, energy and understanding are just some of the qualities our teachers bring to our thriving Junior School with a Reception Class which girls can join from the age of 4.
Small classes ensure pupils receive the extra attention they need to develop their confidence and social skills. Work is individually prepared for each pupil, to ensure every child learns at her own pace.
In addition to academic subjects, girls are encouraged to participate in a wide variety of other activities from playing a musical instrument and ballet to sports including netball, gymnastics and swimming. The girls at Adcote receive well in excess of the recommended time for literacy and numeracy and enjoy a wide variety of educational visits. A broad and balanced curriculum is followed with the emphasis on creating a positive environment in which every girl can reach her full potential.
Covering Foundation Stage curriculum and Early Learning Goals, our Reception Class makes the girls’ transition from Nursery to Juniors so much easier.
For busy parents, out of school hours are flexible. Children arriving at 8.00am are supervised and breakfast is available. At the end of the school day there is a supervised prep and activities until 5.55pm, followed by supper if required. The Reception Class school day finishes at 3.10pm although some girls then go to join their younger friends in the Happy Faces nursery.
