ADCOTE AT THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL

On May 3rd pupils from Adcote School performed at the prestigious Albert Hall in London. As part of the larger 'Steps' dance company, twelve students performed 'Defying Gravity' from the musical Wicked.

The Adcote girls, who are all studying for their B Tech in Performing Arts (Dance) formed their own dance company - L.C.A. - in 2007 and this was their first London venue.

The dance had been choreographed especially for this occasion by their dance director, Nicky Blackford who, along with an army of supporters accompanied them to London. THEY WERE FABULOUS!

Dance is at an all time high at Adcote, as the younger pupils have also formed their own dance company. 'Street Style Juniors' are pupils from 8-11 and 'Street Style Seniors' range from 12-14. They both made their debut at the recent Adcote Show - 'That's Entertainment.'

During the May half term three members of L.C.A. will travel to New York to attend off Broadway dance classes. Jemma Hoadley, Vicky Matthews and Natalie Prudence have been busy fund raising for the last six months to help make this dream come true.
