ENJOY ADCOTE'S GLORIOUS GARDENS PLUS ALL THE FUN OF THE FETE!

Visitors to this year's Adcote Garden Open Day are in for a very special treat. As part of the National Gardens Scheme, the grounds will once again be open to the public on Sunday 10th June from 2pm until 5pm when everyone will also have the opportunity to enjoy all the fun of a traditional summer fete.

The Parent Staff Association has organised a wide range of activities offering great fun for all the family with pony rides, a coconut shy and old fashioned games such as croquet. Competitions to be entered on the day include prizes for hat decoration, art and the best 'garden on a plate'.

As well as a delicious selection of home-made cream teas and locally made ice-creams being served on the terrace the school will also be playing host to an interesting selection of stalls featuring plants, books, crafts, toys, bric-a-brac and gifts.

If you haven't visited Adcote before, the historic grounds surrounding the beautiful Grade 1 listed building feature a delightful variety of fine trees, walled gardens and colourful borders filled with rhododendrons and azaleas.

Adcote, which is 8 miles north-west of Shrewsbury, is easily accessible via the A5 following the signs to Little Ness. So whatever you had planned for Sunday - make a date in your diary right now to come and see the school's beautiful gardens for yourself. The entrance fee for Adults is £3 (children £1) with all the proceeds going to charity.
