DOUBLE GOLD MEDAL SUCCESS FOR ADCOTE GYMNASTS
Adcote School 's gymnasts continue to put in impressive performances. Both the Under 9s and Under 13s teams fought off stiff competition to bring back gold medals from this year's Midland Independent Schools Gymnastics Association (MISGA) competition at the Blue Coat School in Birmingham .
The local independent school's Under 13s once again won the overall gold medal with team member Harriet Shakeshaft scoring the highest number of points to retain the coveted shield for best individual performance for the second consecutive year. Not to be outdone the Under 9s also took team gold with Laura Brown adding yet another individual championship gold medal to her collection.

Head, Debbie Hammond, told us "We are extremely proud of both the teams' achievements at this year's championships. Whilst Harriet's latest gold medal compensated for the silver she won at the recent ISA Championships, Laura continues to excel at both regional and national level. But without exception everyone involved has spent a lot of time practising and we're delighted to see them consistently gain the recognition they deserve for their dedication, commitment and hard work."
Adcote is one of the few schools in the region to include gymnastics for both Junior and Senior girls achieving a consistent record of success in local and area competitions where the girls compete in individual as well as team events.
