AMERICAN METAMORPHOSIS AT ADCOTE

Over twenty American actors and stage crew visited Adcote School on Wednesday, 12 th March to perform the award winning play "Metormorphoses" (sic) by Mary Zimmerman to the senior pupils at the school.

The play retells a number of Greek myths but with a modern approach and the actors included live music, dance and integrated water effects as pools of water changed colour to denote aspects of the stories.

The visit is one that is undertaken every two years by a team from the Tabor Academy in Massachusetts and they are hosted by Ellesmere College .

'We are very fortunate to have such a talented group of young actors performing at our school,' said Head of Drama, Danny Davies, 'their work was beautifully presented, imaginative and very enjoyable.'

The group have spent a week in England and will do one more performance before they return to the States.
