With a vibrant mix of British and International girls, our welcoming boarding houses are a true ‘home from home’ for ages eight to eighteen. Under the caring guidance of our dedicated Heads of Boarding and their experienced teams, friendships blossom and fun-filled activities abound. Our nurturing environment promotes independence and self-confidence, creating lasting bonds that often extend beyond school years. From cozy evenings to exciting events, every moment at Adcote is designed to foster growth and happiness.

Join us for the ultimate boarding experience, where you’ll thrive in a supportive, family-like atmosphere, this is true for the Years 4 to 11, whereas in the Sixth Form, girls enjoy supervised independent living, encouraging them to mature and enabling them to move on at the end of Year 13 with confidence.

Exciting news for day girls! You too can now enjoy the cozy comforts of our boarding house for occasional overnight stays! Whether you’re involved in an exhilarating school drama production, or when your parents are away, these casual boarding arrangements are here to make your experience even more fun and flexible.

We are accredited for the Forces Continuity of Education Allowance and are members of the Boarding Schools Association (BSA), Independent Schools Council (ISC), Independent Schools Association (ISA) and Girls’ Schools Association (GSA).

At Adcote, we’re all about community and comfort in our fantastic boarding houses!

Aston Hall boasts cozy twin rooms with en-suite facilities, while Norman House offers spacious accommodations for small groups. Both houses feature vibrant common rooms, perfect for relaxing with friends, enjoying a movie, playing games, or sipping a warm drink together.

Mealtime is a delightful experience in our Darby restaurant, where everyone gathers to enjoy diverse and healthy menus tailored to all dietary needs. It’s all about connection, laughter, and creating unforgettable memories here at Adcote!

Armed Forces

Boarding at Adcote is an extremely attractive and popular choice for service parents and children. At Adcote, for many years we have welcomed a number of girls who join us from Forces’ families.

We have a great deal of experience of the particular needs of children whose parents may have to move frequently, perhaps at short notice and spend much of their time overseas. Like other boarders at Adcote they usually travel to see their families during the school holidays. Whilst their parents are moved around the world, the girls can enjoy the close knit family atmosphere of boarding life at Adcote.
