We have a long tradition of providing outstanding education to girls of all abilities, with a strong reputation for nurturing talent and expanding confidence in all the students under our care. As an all-girls school, we specialise in developing the leaders of the future, using our substantial knowledge of the way girls learn to inspire and challenge them so they can reach their full potential and realise their ambitions.
Adcote is proud to be the winners of the ISA Senior School of the Year Award in 2020 in recognition of our high standards, as well as being the 2019 winners of the ISA award for Academic Excellence and Innovation for our unique CLEAR Learning Programme, fostering the core values of confidence, leadership, engagement, achievement and resilience. We are in top spot for Shropshire for GCSE Grade 5+ in English and Maths and top value for money for independent boarding schools offering A Levels in our price bracket. Meaning we not only develop wonderful young women, but but we also provide them with the outcomes they need at the best value.
At Adcote, a strong sense of community runs through every area of the school from the staff who specialise in the way girls learn through to the parents and the girls themselves.

House Maths Challenge 2025 🏆🧮
Our Senior pupils embraced the challenges of House Maths with a fantastic turnout!
In the first round, teams tackled the ‘Cross Number’ challenge, a tricky number puzzle requiring teamwork and strategic thinking. Haughton took the early lead, closely followed by Glenmore, with Innage in third place.
Round 2 saw the houses split into KS3, KS4, and KS5 teams, taking on problems from the Junior, Intermediate, and Senior UKMT Maths Challenges. This round encouraged mathematical reasoning and precision. Glenmore scored the most points, Haughton came close, and Innage finished in third once again.
When the scores from both rounds were combined, Haughton and Glenmore shared the victory in the Senior competition!
In the Junior school, students started with a memory game, followed by challenges with Roman numerals, mental maths, and a magic square. Once again, it was very close, but Glenmore edged out Haughton by just 3 points.
🏅 Overall House Standings:
1️⃣ Glenmore
2️⃣ Haughton
3️⃣ Innage
Congratulations to all students who took part — it was fantastic to see so many getting involved, working collaboratively, and enjoying the challenge.
