Our learning throughout the Prep School is based around the National Curriculum. We maintain a rigorous assessment regime throughout all years. Whilst in Prep we do not conduct SATs testing, our learning is comparable to national results, but without the stress that tests can bring.
Years 7 and 8 give our girls the very best start to their secondary education, without the upheaval of moving to a new school. Many of the teachers will already know the pupils and can provide a seamless transition to the academic rigour of KS3 learning. This gives pupils confidence and familiarity as they embark on Key Stage 3 learning. The girls leave the Prep School poised for the demands of GCSE study and the excitement that moving up to the Senior School brings.
We follow a curriculum that prioritises Literacy and Numeracy alongside a broad range of other subjects. All subjects are compulsory and consist of:
