Textile artist Bobby Britnell inspired GCSE and A Level girls in an exploratory printing workshop.
Bobby has a background in theatrical costume design for the West End and television productions, with a special interest in embroidery.
Michelle Warner, Head of Textiles, said: “The girls produced some outstanding work, exploring methods of printing and then using these techniques to create surface patterns.
“The work they produced will form part of their coursework and will provide inspiration to further experiment, explore and develop their textile works.
“The opportunity to see the artists’ work and gain an understanding of how ideas are developed from the initial stages to the final product was both interesting and enriching. Such firsthand experiences are an important aspect of the GCSE and A Level textile courses.
“Bobby remarked on how talented our students are and said she was amazed by the standard of work being produced. The girls were an absolute pleasure and a credit to the school.”
