Adcote School will be holding its very own Race for Life on Thursday 23rd June at 2:00p.m. to raise money for Cancer Research UK. We would like to invite all family members to join us in this whole-school event to take part in the event alongside your daughter(s).
The event will be starting with a “Zumba-Style” warm up at 2:00p.m. with the race starting at 2:15p.m. Participants are encouraged to wear pink and are welcome to run, jog or walk their way around the course. This year there will be a few obstacles along the route for those who want an extra challenge! There will also be a prize for the “best outfit” which will be judged on the day. Refreshments will be provided afterwards including an ice cream van. Following the race you are invited to have a sit down and relax to watch the “Dramafest” starting at 3:30p.m. which will showcase some of the excellent work carried out by Years 7, 8 and 9 pupils. This will be performed (weather dependent!) in the gardens.
From your support in previous years we have been able to raise a fantastic amount of money and this year our target is to raise £2500. To try and reach this, we are asking for a £2 entry from every participant. Before Half Term, pupils were also issued with sponsorship forms for them to collect sponsorship money and they should return this to their tutor next week.
