Adcote students celebrate A-level results

Posted: 17th August 2018

We are celebrating a set of good A-level results with 100% gaining three A levels or equivalent and 50% achieving 4 A-levels.

This year 73% of our A Level students achieved A* – C grades with a 95% pass rate overall.  90% of students have been successful in gaining places at the University of their choice.

As a non-selective school we are hugely proud of our results. Geography, Textiles, Biology and Physics were particularly strong with many students out performing CEM predictions for progress and achievement.

Headmistress Diane Browne said: “We’re delighted to be celebrating another year of good results for our girls. Many of them have exceeded expectations and are leaving us as happy confident and well-rounded young women who are well placed to thrive at the University of their choice.”

Local student successes include Elena Roberts who has been accepted to study Psychology at Swansea University, Faith Morgan who will study Fashion, Buying and Merchandising at Manchester Met and Izzy Watson who will study Events Management and Business Arrangement at Chester University.

Average UCAS points across all girls Y13 – 131 – Equivalent = AAC/ABB
