Adcote Celebrates GCSE Results 2020

Posted: 20th August 2020

It was fantastic to see so many delighted faces as students collected their GCSE results at Adcote School this morning.

An amazing 50.5% of all our awards were at the highest levels of 7/8/9 (A*/A). There were many individual successes including Rhiannon Williams who gained 10 GCSEs (8 at level 9 and 2 at level 8), and Eleni Higgins who gained 4 GCSEs at level 9 and 4 at level 8. Both girls are looking forward to studying their A Levels in Adcote’s Sixth Form.

Headmistress Mrs Diane Browne said: “Our students worked incredibly hard throughout their GCSE courses, including joining online sessions during lockdown and we are absolutely thrilled that their commitment, the dedication of their teachers and the impact of our tracking and intervention programmes have all been endorsed by these wonderful grades, which are all in line with our striking trajectory of improving results secured over the last three years”.
