A special service was held for Year 13 leavers at our local 12th century church, St Martin’s, in Little Ness.
The service, led by Adcote Chaplain The Reverend Lucinda Burns, focused on wisdom and light.
Each student was presented with a candle, representing the passing on of light, and a copy of The Gospel of Luke.
The service included readings, prayers, an address by Reverend Burns and music. Our Director of Music Mrs Besterman played the organ.
Due to COVID restrictions, the choir could not sing in the church. Instead the service finished with a recording of Bruce Springsteen’s ‘This Little Light of Mine’.
