It’s that time of year again! We will be staging a series of fun fundraising activities next week to support Children in Need, and we’re hoping to smash last year’s incredible total of £1,800!
The fundraising week will kick off on Monday with a cake and bake sale in the Great Hall at break time. Donations of cakes, home baked or bought, will be hugely appreciated.
And, of course, if you are in the creative mood, they can be Pudsey themed too. Donations should be dropped off at reception on Monday morning. Cakes will go on sale priced at 50p or £1.
Non-uniform day
On Friday we’re holding a non-uniform day which is designated as a ‘Wear Your Pyjamas’ Day’, so grab your cosy clothing and onesies! Students and staff are being asked to donate £1 to come to school in their sleep attire.
We will also be supporting the Anti-Bullying Alliance’s ‘Odd Socks Day’ so pupils are encouraged to wear their odd socks too on this day as a way of celebrating what makes us all unique.
Throughout the week there will also be a chance to win a ‘hamper of goodies’. Raffle tickets will be sold for 50p at break times and lunchtimes.
There will be a chance to win a jar of sweets in the ‘guess the number of sweets in the jar’ as well. Year 8 and Sixth Form Prefects will be selling these over the week at break times.
“Last year we managed to raise an incredible £1800 for Children in Need which supports disadvantaged children through various projects throughout the UK. We would like to thank you very much in advance for your support of our fundraising activities,” said Adcote Children In Need organiser Miss Roberts.
