Top results, STEM excellence, and elite university offers mark a huge leap forward since 2019 and surpass national pre-pandemic benchmarks.
As national A-Level results return to pre-pandemic levels, Adcote School is thrilled to report another exceptional year for its Year 13 students. While the school has traditionally performed above national averages, this year represents a dramatic leap in top grades and university offers, reflecting the impact of our CLEAR Learning approach, which provides personalised guidance, structured support, and clear academic goals for every student, all within a non-selective environment.
Adcote is currently a finalist in the Independent School Awards for Fundraising Achievement, recognising the school’s dedication to community initiatives. Separately, the school continues to offer fantastic scholarships and bursaries for local students, ensuring access to an outstanding education for all.
Academic Highlights:
- Outstanding Performance: Nearly 25% of Year 13 grades were A*.
- High Top-End Achievement: 57% of Year 13 grades were A*/A, with 72% at A-B*.
- Full Pass Success: 100% pass rate, with 85% achieving A-C grades*.
- STEM Excellence: 80% of Further Maths, Biology, and Chemistry grades were A*/A.
- Elite University Access: One-third of students secured offers from UK G5 universities, with 93% from Russell Group institutions.
- Widespread High Achievement: 75% of students earned at least one A*, 88% at least one A*/A grade, and 56% two or more A*/A grades.
In 2019, Adcote students were already performing above the national average, but top grades were less frequent. Nationally, pre-pandemic A/A* results stood at 25.4%, and in 2024, 27.8% of UK entries achieved A*/A. This year, Adcote students have far surpassed both national averages and 2019 levels, demonstrating exceptional academic growth and the effectiveness of CLEAR Learning in a non-selective environment.

Quote from Headteacher Mrs Nicola Tribe:
“Our students’ achievements this year are truly outstanding,” said Mrs Tribe. “Because of our dedicated staff, every student follows a structured path with personalised support. Even in a non-selective environment, we have achieved results that far exceed 2019 levels and national averages, while continuing to provide scholarships and bursaries to local students and contributing to the wider community. We are incredibly proud of our young women and look forward to hearing about their next steps in the future as part of our alumni.”
Adcote School remains committed to nurturing every student’s potential academically, personally, and socially. STEAM scholarships for Sixth Form are still available, and we look forward to welcoming our new cohort this September. Year 11 students are welcome to drop in on Thursday 21st afternoon from 1pm to see what Adcote can do for them.
