Adcote School’s STEM team met staff at leading Midland engineering firm Salop Design & Engineering, based in Shrewsbury, on a fact-finding mission for the forthcoming Midland News Association 2018 STEM Challenge which is open to schools across the region.
The aim of the Challenge is to boost student engagement with the key topics of science, technology, engineering and maths and give them an understanding of how what they learn in the classroom will play a vital role in future careers. Salop Design and Engineering is Adcote’s business mentor for the Challenge. The company will work with the students to design and manufacture a product. The team will unveil and present their product at Dudley College in the summer.
