Our group enjoyed a wonderful day exploring the fascinating collections at Liverpool’s World Museum, organised by Julia Phillips.
They took part in two workshops on sea life and rock pool life and another on creepy crawlies and arthropods. The ‘slight’ delay getting home, after a motorway breakdown, did nothing to curb their spirits.
Teaching assistant Nell Hughes, who accompanied the trip, said: “The hands on activities were wonderful. They had the chance to handle starfish and crabs – but not the scorpion or tarantulas (which they thought were cute!). They particularly enjoyed watching the locusts mating!”
