Years 3 and 4 learned about the Hindu and Sikh festival of light Diwali this week.
They created artwork and decorations for the festival, learned how Diwali is traditionally celebrated and enjoyed traditional foods and sweets eaten for Diwali.
They also enjoyed dressing up in Indian-style dresses and garments and learned a dance for Diwali which they performed on stage in asssembly this morning.
The whole school got a taste of Diwali when the Adcote catering team laid on an Indian-themed spread at lunchtime on Thursday with the restaurant festooned with decorations and bunting, including lanterns made by Years 3 and 4.
