Carols in the Square

Posted: 6th December 2021

Forty pupils, accompanied by Mrs Besterman, Mrs Gardner and Miss Jones, went to bring some festive cheer to Shrewsbury’s shoppers on Thursday.

With singers, drawn from some of the school’s choirs, we sang lots of traditional favourites along with modern staples, such as ‘Jingle Bell Rock’.

The windy, rainy weather was a challenge, but the girls sang on, “through the rude wind’s wild lament, and the bitter weather” – in the words of Good King Wenceslas.

Well done to all!
