“I am so proud of the incredible cast of Billy Elliot! The girls have worked so, so hard to make this show a success and they have really shown what they are made of!
It is so easy to forget the hours of hard work, sweat and tears, exhaustion and stress but also the joy and the laughter, the camaraderie and the bond between the girls that have been a part of this journey over the past few months.
Each and every cast member showed bucketloads of resilience, exceeding what they thought they could achieve, and then confidently shining in the most brilliant way on the night.
For me, this is really what it’s all about — chartering new territory, challenging yourself, having the unfaltering belief that you are capable of so much more than you
even know and then reaping the rewards of your achievement.
If this isn’t learning then what is? I sincerely hope that some of these experiences will stay with the girls into the future and remind them of how truly special they all are.
