We are proud to announce that our Head of Science, Mrs F. Walford, has achieved another significant milestone in her academic journey. Alongside studying for her Doctorate in Education, she has been appointed as a Visiting Lecturer at Chester University, where she will be contributing to the delivery of their science degree programmes.

Her doctoral research focuses on exploring the impact of secondary school teachers’ emotional intelligence on the engagement and achievement of students with Special Educational Needs. This important area of study reflects her commitment not only to advancing educational practice, but also to ensuring that every learner has the opportunity to thrive.

This prestigious appointment recognises her expertise, dedication, and passion for science education. It also reflects the high calibre of teaching at Adcote School, where she continues to inspire and challenge our students every day.

Balancing doctoral research, a university lecturing post, and her leadership role here at Adcote is no small feat, and we are thrilled to celebrate her success. She is an outstanding role model for our students, demonstrating that with hard work, ambition, and resilience, anything is possible.
