We are delighted to celebrate the remarkable achievements of Laura in Year 12, whose talent and dedication in Mathematics have shone brightly this term.
Earlier this year, Laura achieved an outstanding score of 120 out of 125 in the highly respected Senior Maths Challenge, earning herself a coveted Gold Award. This national competition, run by the UK Mathematics Trust, challenges students with complex, creative problem-solving questions that stretch even the most able mathematicians. Laura’s result places her among the top-performing students across the country.
Just weeks later, she took part in the follow-on round, the Andrew Jobbings Senior Kangaroo, an even more demanding competition that invites only the highest scorers from the initial challenge. Once again, Laura excelled—securing another Gold Award and demonstrating her advanced reasoning, perseverance, and exceptional mathematical ability.
This impressive double success is a testament to Laura’s hard work and passion for the subject. We are incredibly proud of her achievements and look forward to seeing where her mathematical journey takes her next.
Well done, Laura—what an exceptional accomplishment!
